The Nclose Difference
We’re partners not suppliers
You know how your business works and the risks you are exposed to. We know the global cyber security landscape and how to mitigate the risk. Together, we’re a powerful defence in depth partnership that delivers for your unique needs.
At Nclose, we take our alliances seriously. When we take over your environment, we integrate advanced security with your processes to become an extension of your business.
Our highly skilled teams deliver exceptional service. Our powerful services and solutions don’t just help defend against risks – we seek them out potential risks and exposure, remove points of failure and help you stay a step ahead of tomorrow’s risks. In short – we’ve got your back.
Proudly South African
Nclose is born in South Africa and recognised internationally. We’re the only South African MSSP to rank among the world’s top 250 in the 2021 MSSP Alert list.
Founded in 2006 by local technology experts to address local cyber security needs, we have built a portfolio of class-leading capabilities that perfectly align with South African organisations’ unique profiles. We know the skills and resource constraints all businesses face and have the ability to close the skills gap all businesses face.
But beyond our borders, our services can be consumed from any location in the world, delivering superb security control while addressing rigorous compliance mandates. We are helping elevate security for leading multinational enterprises, all while managing the balancing act of cost vs benefit.
Built. Not bought
We’ll build the platform that suits your needs, leaving nothing to chance.
We’re constantly refining and improving our capabilities as risks evolve; and we will constantly collaborate with you to ensure that your security flexes and adapts as your business changes.
Whether this means addressing changing endpoint protection needs, reimaging firewalls, or digging deep within your defences to find the gaps – we won’t stop refining and redefining your security and compliance posture. We know that even 99% secure and compliant isn’t good enough.
No excuses. No oversights. No more one size fits all.
Collective intellectual property (IP)
Our skilled engineering team works closely together, sharing learnings and knowledge from a multitude of different environments and scenarios to continually increase the combined intelligence of the team.
As one individual is exposed and overcomes to new challenges the collective IP of the team increases.
This collective IP concept embraces a stronger together mentality which is a major value add to our clients and partners.
“
The solution saved us a lot of effort as it met our stringent requirements from the outset.

Executive Committee
Stephen Osler
Co-Founder and Business Development Director
With a career spanning over 20 years in IT, Stephen started his professional career in London, working for eBookers.com, before his South African pride and optimism about the country’s future brought him back to South Africa to work in the technology infrastructure and security sectors. While developing a deep-seated focus on product perfection and client satisfaction, he also identified a gap in the local IT market – cyber security – which led him to co-founding Nclose and its cutting-edge solutions.
Martin Potgieter
Co-Founder & Technical Director
Having grown up in San Antonio, Texas, Martin’s passion for cyber security dates back as far as 1999. His focus on preventing cyber-attacks from happening has made him an excellent ‘tracker’ of potential risks and weaknesses within systems, with in-depth knowledge of how to mitigate them.
He deploys his passion for creation, combined with continuous improvement, to build robust cyber security systems and processes that adapt and evolve in step with whatever attack methods cybercriminals try.

Doing Good
Our CSR initiatives focus on preparing the youth for the fourth industrial revolution by providing access to digital tools.
Many school-aged learners in South Africa have no access to computers and the associated technology. This puts them at an immediate disadvantage, given the speed at which the world is changing and how reliant we are on tech and the internet. We aim to be part of the change that allows South Africa’s youth to be comfortable with everything digital from a young age by financially supporting the MiDO Foundation.
The MiDO Foundation
The MiDO Foundation gives school learners the opportunity to improve their digital literacy by making use of digital hubs that the Foundation installs in disadvantaged schools around the country.
The digital hubs allow learners access to tech that helps them gain valuable skills needed to prepare them for the working world. They learn hard skills like coding, as well as soft skills that include teamwork, critical thinking, and effective communication.
The foundation also helps small businesses owners become familiar with online tools to grow their businesses and digital literacy skills.
Bursaries
Nclose currently has eight learners who have been awarded bursaries, ranging in age from 8 years old to 20 years old.
